Celebrate spring and sense-of-place literature and art at The Common's second annual New York City gala!
Aciman will read from his new novel, which Charles McGrath calls "touchingly and beautifully written" in The New York Times, about love, friendship, and becoming American in late ’70s Cambridge. The evening also features swinging twenties jazz by NYC Hot 3 and locally crafted charcuterie and canapes by West Village standout Swine.
This year's Silent Art Auction features a remarkable selection of place-inspired works, including prints, photographs, assemblage, and objects by outstanding artists such as Noah Schenk, Jane Kent, Chris MacKenzie, Tatiana Garmendia, Jon Gitelson, and Cable Griffiths, as well as an exceptional selection of limited edition and rare catalogues and books.
General admission tickets are $50. VIP Art Auction tickets are $75 and include a special pre-party viewing of the auction exhibition, a complimentary copy of the magazine, and raffle prizes from NYC restaurants and musicians. All proceeds benefit The Common Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, and our mission to support authors and artists and publish place-based literature and art from around the world.

I am unable to attend, but I'd like to support this event.
